Who?
Rebeca Herlung Høien

What?
Artist & designer

Where?
Oslo

You are what you eat, what are you?
Idiot sandwich.

What would never end up on your plate?

Tuna, and non-ecological food.

Do you have green fingers?
Not particularly, but I like plants.

What do you do to make your day green?
Ride the bus instead of driving which is kind of easy since I don’t own a car or have the license to drive, no use of plastic bags, use reusable coffee cups and straws, trying to think «nature».

What’s your fits-to-all-occasions-garment?
My wool sweater-dress, which I don’t have.

If you only had 8 different garments, what would your wardrobe look like?
Practical: One pair of pants, one pair of shorts, a skirt, a hoodie, one thin sweater, a wool sweater, one t-shirt, one dress. No jacket:(
Preferable: Snowboard suit, snowboard boots, gloves, goggles, beanie, buff, wool longs, wool sweater.

What colours do you believe in for next season?
Light yellow/creme, light washed green, Egyptian blue.

Forest and hiking, or sea and swimming?
At this moment, forest and hiking.

Gallery or cinema?
Gallery for sure.

Winter, Spring, Summer or Autumn?
I enjoy every season, but I favour winter cause then I get go snowboarding. I also like walking in the woods during fall, the colours gives a sort of fairytale-like feel. Catch yourself walking in a daydream.

How do you beat time?
Learning new things. Lately quantum physics has grabbed my attention. It’s pretty ungraspable, and I like that. Gets your mind going. And binge series.

How do you get people smiling?
I laugh a lot, so that makes people smile. And just by being quirky or say something random.

What is happiness for you?
To be free

A or B-human?
B, or maybe even C. I like sleeping late.

What drives you?
Trying to understand things, our natural clockwork. How we function as humans, the patterns in the way we think and act, the connection between the universe and you. The existence of dimensions. How much of you is your DNA, and how much of your DNA is you. All those things we can never give a satisfactory answer.
I guess it’s all some sort of trying to get to know yourself from another point of view, and why you are you.

What’s your life motto?
Let everything unfold in its own pace.

Who inspire you?
Kurt Cobain, Nikola Tesla, John Lennon, Gandalf

Do you have a local hero you would like to give a shout out to?
Terje Håkonsen. Not so local, but I like what he is doing for the environment.

Finally – who do you want to pass this Q&A to?
Marki?
